{"id":3036,"date":"2020-04-29T18:24:21","date_gmt":"2020-04-29T17:24:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agorastur.es\/blog\/?p=3036"},"modified":"2020-04-29T18:31:54","modified_gmt":"2020-04-29T17:31:54","slug":"estres-en-cuarentena-como-factor-de-riesgo-para-el-aumento-de-peso","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agorastur.es\/blog\/estres-en-cuarentena-como-factor-de-riesgo-para-el-aumento-de-peso\/","title":{"rendered":"Estr\u00e9s en cuarentena como factor de riesgo para el aumento de peso"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Escrito por Camila Ibaceta, Dietista Nutricionista.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En tiempos donde la incertidumbre de lo que pasar\u00e1 se hace due\u00f1o de nuestros pensamientos, de la falta de libertad para decidir qu\u00e9 hacer en nuestro tiempo libre, de ese teletrabajo con hijos en casa que dificulta nuestro ejercicio y tantos otros factores que cada uno vive a su modo sin ser menos importantes unos que otros, se asoma silenciosamente, sin dejarse notar de golpe, marcadores de estr\u00e9s que a corto, mediano y largo plazo nos pueden traer consecuencias nefastas en nuestra salud. Por esto, he venido a contarte un poco sobre <strong>un claro indicador de estr\u00e9s en ni\u00f1os y adultos: el cortisol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Teniendo en cuenta que el estr\u00e9s es un t\u00e9rmino gen\u00e9rico que habla de s\u00edntomas divergentes, como agitaci\u00f3n, preocupaci\u00f3n, mal humor, dolores, mareos, etc., cada uno lo vive de una forma particular. El estr\u00e9s en s\u00ed mismo dista de ser malo, de hecho, es un estado de alerta que tenemos para salir victoriosos de escenarios poco amigables. Este estr\u00e9s se gatilla por una serie de cascadas dentro de nuestro cuerpo, desencadenando uno de los glucocorticoides m\u00e1s activos: el cortisol, el cual su regulaci\u00f3n es gen\u00e9tica y ambiental, y depende de factores como el ciclo de sue\u00f1o vigilia y la propia percepci\u00f3n del estr\u00e9s. El problema est\u00e1 cuando el ciclo normal de estos niveles de cortisol se descontrola, habiendo un exceso o gran disminuci\u00f3n de \u00e9ste en per\u00edodos prolongados. Cuando comienza a fallar un ciclo normal en nuestro organismo, se ven comprometidos una serie de factores que silenciosamente est\u00e1n maquinando alguna enfermedad, una de ellas se relaciona con un aumento de peso corporal. A su vez, niveles de cortisol elevados estimulan la gluconeog\u00e9nesis, pudiendo aparecer una resistencia a la insulina, conocida como \u201cpre-diabetes\u201d, aumentando el riesgo a sufrir enfermedades cardiovasculares.<\/p>\n<p>Los efectos que tiene el estr\u00e9s relacionado con el consumo de alimentos difieren en el tiempo en que el factor de estr\u00e9s est\u00e1 presente en nuestras vidas. Se sabe que, a corto plazo, generalmente el apetito disminuye, mientras que el estr\u00e9s cr\u00f3nico promueve el deseo, la b\u00fasqueda y la ingesta de alimentos ricos en grasas y alimentos altamente cal\u00f3ricos. Otro factor asociado al aumento del nivel de estr\u00e9s son los antojos y la vulnerabilidad en caer en adicciones.<\/p>\n<p>Pero tener antojos es de lo m\u00e1s normal. Todos hemos pasado por momentos de antojos de ciertos alimentos, sin embargo, mantenido en el tiempo es un factor concomitante para aumentar de peso. Surge en la literatura cient\u00edfica el concepto de <em>comfort food,<\/em>\u00a0el cual corresponde a una conducta definida por el incremento de la ingesta de alimentos altos en grasa, az\u00facar o calor\u00edas, en respuesta a emociones negativas o a eventos estresantes.<\/p>\n<p>Entonces, \u00bfqu\u00e9 recomiendan los expertos para evitar que el cortisol se apodere de nuestras vidas? Seg\u00fan el personal cl\u00ednico de la famosa Cl\u00ednica Mayo de Estados Unidos, recomiendan practicar cualquier tipo de actividad f\u00edsica, evitar h\u00e1bitos poco saludables como fumar, beber alcohol, realizar ejercicios de respiraci\u00f3n y meditaci\u00f3n, tener un buen sentido del humor: \u00a1re\u00edr m\u00e1s!, tratar de no aislarse, evitar conflictos, mantener una calidad y cantidad de sue\u00f1o \u00f3ptimo, escuchar o tocar m\u00fasica o cualquier otro pasatiempo que disfrutes como dibujar, jardinear, tejer, leer, etc., y tambi\u00e9n llevar una dieta saludable. Este \u00faltimo punto lo desglosaremos sencillamente en 3 importantes obligados.<\/p>\n<p>El primero es que evites comer comida procesada, ll\u00e1mese a productos envasados que en su informaci\u00f3n nutricional tenga m\u00e1s de 3 ingredientes. Estos alimentos suelen ser altos en az\u00facares simples, en sal, en aceites refinados y en aditivos que muchos de ellos se relacionan con un aumento en la inflamaci\u00f3n de nuestro organismo.<\/p>\n<p>Lo segundo es que te pongas como objetivo que tu alimentaci\u00f3n sean comidas basadas en plantas, lo que implica comer una mayor cantidad de frutas, verduras, legumbres, cereales, frutos secos. Los aportes nutricionales que te entregan son buen\u00edsimos: fibra, \u00e1cidos grasos de buena calidad, fitoqu\u00edmicos, etc. \u00bfImportante que sean integrales los cereales? Bueno, la verdad es que s\u00ed, pero si comes arroz y pasta blanca y no comes ning\u00fan alimento procesado es mucho mejor a que si todos los d\u00edas desayunas boller\u00eda y tus cereales son integrales.<\/p>\n<p>Y, por \u00faltimo, una correcta hidrataci\u00f3n, basada en agua, infusiones o t\u00e9s. La elecci\u00f3n de estas dos \u00faltimas debe ser m\u00e1s estudiada caso a caso, ya que las hierbas tienen principios activos que podr\u00edan perjudicar en vez de ayudar en algunos casos. Para no tener dudas, lo simple: agua.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfCrees poder hacer estos 3 cambios en tu alimentaci\u00f3n?
